DW Fox Tucker is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Bickford as a Director and new member of the Commercial team.
This recent appointment builds on the firm’s long-term strategy, which started with Fox Tucker and Donaldson Walsh joining forces last year. The firm is committed to offering strong, cost effective and responsive legal services to businesses in SA and nationally.
Kate is a highly experienced commercial lawyer with a background in resources and energy which has seen her represent clients across Australia and South East Asia. In addition to all forms of commercial advice, Kate has specialised in land access and native title matters, representing clients in various State and Federal courts.
Commercial Law Director, William Esau said he was pleased to have Kate join the Commercial team.
“Kate comes to us with wide ranging expertise in resolving complex multi- party negotiations. Kate is highly regarded as a strategist and legal pragmatist. Her ability to devise commercial outcomes from often politically and legally polarised disputes, is invaluable to any industry sector.
“Kate expands DW Fox Tuckers’ capabilities into the resources and energy sectors as well as adding further weight to our existing commercial team. Kate complements the ethos of our firm and our commitment to our client relationships.”
Kate says key factors in her decision to join DW Fox Tucker were “the outstanding practitioners, the diverse client base and the firm’s strong reputation and tradition in commercial matters.” The size and dynamism of the firm, allowing it to move quickly for clients in the market, was also key.
Commencing her career as a claimant native title lawyer in 1998, Kate has maintained strong personal connection to many remote communities and remains committed to the empowerment of Aboriginal people.
Kate’s loyalty and enthusiasm for achieving the best outcomes extends to all of her clients, locally, nationally and internationally. However, she is pleased to be based in Adelaide.
“South Australia is such an innovative and diversely cultured place to live and develop or run a business. I’m deeply committed to doing what I can to contribute to the success of the State. South Australian companies are best served by local attention… the conditions here can be quite unique.”
