Harassment – Managing Serious Misconduct in the Workplace

Employers who become aware of allegations that an employee has engaged in potentially criminal misconduct have to tread a fine line between affording procedural fairness to all concerned and providing appropriate support to often traumatised victims.

Recent high profile revelations of sexual misconduct have highlighted the difficulties faced by victims and the need for employers to understand what is potentially criminal conduct and their role in reporting it to the relevant authorities.

This seminar will cover topics such as:

  • understanding what sort of criminal conduct might need to be reported;
  • how to liaise with the authorities; and
  • best practice procedures for managing a workplace investigation.
