A new employer payment system for workers compensation premiums will commence from 1 July 2012, following the passing of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation (Employer Payments) Amendment Act 2011 by State Parliament.
Under the new system, WorkCover premiums for medium and large registered employers will again include consideration of their claims history. No changes, however, have been made to the manner in which a small employer’s premiums are calculated.
