Amendments to the Australian Consumer Law have drastically altered the consequences for businesses that include unfair contract terms in standard form contracts while also broadening the scope of a ‘small business contract’. As such, more companies – and not just those who handle end consumer contracts – will now be exposed to the risk of significant financial penalties.
This practical session will examine the new laws and discuss how careful drafting and expert guidance from trained professionals can ensure that associated risks are effectively identified and managed to protect a company’s interests. At this session, Amy will cover:
