Australian employers face a challenging 2023 as they start to unpack extensive workplace reforms and implement changes to ensure they comply with new measures and avoid potential liabilities and penalties.

This session will analyse recent wide-reaching reforms that represent the most significant changes to industrial relations since the Fair Work Act was introduced in 2009. Employers will learn about what these changes mean for them and what steps they must take to comply with:

  • multi-employer bargaining and enterprise bargaining;
  • flexible working arrangements;
  • pay secrecy;
  • fixed-term contracts;
  • sexual harassment in the workplace;
  • paid family and domestic violence leave;
  • anti-discrimination and special measures; and
  • FWC compliance and enforcement.
