James Geddes is a Senior Associate in DW Fox Tucker Lawyers' Litigation Team, with extensive experience in insurance, litigation and general commercial matters.
Admitted to practice in 2004, James has more than 20 years' experience acting in litigation, dispute resolution and general insurance matters. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Politics) from the University of Adelaide and commenced his legal career at a large commercial law firm, where he clerked during the final year of his studies.
Throughout his career, James has worked in large commercial firms, boutique practices and as in-house Counsel for a major utility company, providing him with a broad perspective on the legal and commercial issues facing clients.
James advises and represents insurers, government entities, corporations, small businesses and private clients across a broad range of disputes. He has developed a strong reputation for providing strategic legal advice, effective advocacy and practical dispute resolution, with a focus on achieving commercially sound outcomes for his clients.
James has appeared regularly in the Supreme Court, District Court and Magistrates Court of South Australia, the South Australian Employment Tribunal and the Federal Court of Australia.
