Please remember, you can always choose your conveyancer, no matter what anyone else involved in the sale may tell you. All too often real estate agents and property developers will recommend, or sometimes even insist, that you need to use their recommended conveyancer to facilitate the sale transaction effectively.

For a start, this is simply not true. You always have the right to engage your own, in any circumstance. Most importantly, by using the recommended conveyancer, you can often be at risk from conflicting interests. They may have an ongoing relationship, and therefore some unfair loyalty, towards the agent and will often represent both buying and selling parties.

There's an easy way to avoid any harmful conflicts in conveyancing. Engage a professional for yourself.
